Review - Grodd of War - Flashpoint

The basis is simple, Gorilla Grodd has captured all of Africa and is still not happy that nobody knows who he is. He is looking for recognition and will stop at nothing to achieve it.

Grodd is bored, rides around in Cadillac's, is treated by his loyal army as a President like figure, and demonstrates his telepathic abilities in a most horrifying way.

The issue closes with Grodd preparing his army to attack Aquaman in Western Europe after a brutal fight with Catman.

I loved the Francis Manapul cover art. Inside Ig Guara pencilled a brilliant series complimenting Sean Ryan's story, leading to a continuation in the main Flashpoint book.

Overall a good one shot, not quite worth the cover price. I was happy to have picked this up in a dollar bin within the month of release.
